Kennesaw, Ga., July 2, 2012 — Yamaha Marine Group announced today it will increase its propeller offerings as part of its ongoing effort to provide endless propeller solutions.  Added to Yamaha’s propeller line up are three new products that are now available through Yamaha marine dealers nationwide.

Yamaha V MAX SHO®24 and 26

Yamaha’s V MAX SHO 24 and 26 are designed for use with Yamaha’s line of VMAX SHO 4.2-liter V6 outboards. Using the same style and blade shape as the V MAX® ventless propeller series, these new propellers allow fine tuning

of the wide open throttle rpm for peak performance on V MAX SHO®-powered bass, bay, and flats boat applications. The V MAX SHO 24 and 26 are perfect for those who want the high level of performance and quality Yamaha’s V MAX propellers provide, but require single-inch increment pitches to properly ‘dial in’ maximum performance.

V MAX SHO vetless propellers are now available in 23”, 24”, 25” 26”, 27”, and 29” pitches, right-hand rotation only.

Yamaha Performance XL4-HP 22-inch Propeller

Yamaha’s XL4-HP four-bladed propellers are designed specifically for the Yamaha 5.3-liter F350 outboard. Like the XL4-HP 24, the XL4-HP 22 is designed for lighter, high-performance, multi-engine offshore boats that often carry heavier loads, such as open fishing-style hulls.

Featuring massive thrust to plane and additional ‘grip’ compared to nearly all three-bladed propellers, the new Performance XL4-HP 22 propeller offers outstanding acceleration and quick planing, while helping to maintain plane at lower speeds and to eliminate ventilation, particularly in turns and following seas.

Performance XL4-HP propellers are available in 22” and 24” pitches, in both right- and left-hand rotation.

Yamaha Performance XT Propellers

In order to prevent any confusion with the Saltwater Series XL series of props, which are exclusively for Yamaha’s F350 four-stroke V8 outboard, the current Performance XL series of V6 propellers will now be known as Performance XT propellers. Ideal for applications using Yamaha V6 outboards on older model bass, bay, and flats boats, Performance XT propellers represent a step up from Yamaha’s long-established and widely-used Pro Series of propellers. They are specifically designed with larger, longer blades, with a thick blade root area, for strength and improved performance in applications requiring high engine mounting heights, such as boats with jackplates.

Due to the large amount of bow lift their thicker, specially-shaped blades can create, Performance XT propellers are an excellent choice for older model, heavier performance hulls, such as earlier-model bass boats. They will continue to be available in 23”, 25” and 27” pitches, right-hand rotation only.
